The design studio Anderssen & Voll was launched in Oslo by the partners Torbjørn Anderssen and Espen Voll in 2009. Since then, the duo has brought Norway on the international global design map with their ground-breaking works and received renowned awards including Wallpaper Award, Red Dot Award, and IF Award.
In collaborations with numerous prominent brands like Muuto, Magis, &Tradition, Anderssen & Voll have affirmed their amazing creativity through elegant and understated designs like Outline Sofas for Muuto and Pavilion series for &Tradition.
For any project, Anderssen & Voll always express a marked preference in a sense of freedom and consider each piece having its own personality. They generate emotionally-driven designs and their ambition is to create objects with souls more than calculations.
In an interview with Design Stories, the designers shared that their over-20-year partnership was not an outcome of always agreeing with each other, but rather realizing their differences as a way of "breathing life into products".
